SEOUL--(Korea Newswire)--Siemens Energy and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) presided over by Dr. Jochen Eickholt, Executive Board Member of Siemens Energy AG, and Mr. HeeBong Chae, President and CEO of KOGAS. This formally marks the start of a strategic alliance for green hydrogen production and hydrogen turbine power generation.

Under the agreement, the two companies will closely collaborate across all areas of hydrogen business to pursue the production of green hydrogen and its use in power generation. This includes a demonstration project for large-scale domestic green hydrogen production and supply; hydrogen turbine power generation; joint research for overseas green hydrogen production and transport strategies; and technological development to secure competitiveness in the hydrogen business.

Through close collaboration and co-innovation, Siemens Energy and KOGAS share a joint commitment to empowering South Korea’s renewable energy advancement by expanding their green hydrogen generation capacity.
