Korea Sale FESTA…Enjoy Great Benefit for a Whole Month of October in Korea

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA--(Korea Newswire)--Visit Korea Committee made this October ‘a month for Korea Sale FESTA for foreign visitors.’ There are many events and programs for the month.

Korea Sale FESTA is held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Visit Korea Committee and Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry supervise the festival.

There are big sales events, tour programs for foreigners and 55 special cultural festivals throughout Korea making it the biggest shopping and festival in history. Currently 277 companies (about 40,000 shops) are providing foreign tourists with a variety of benefits. Visit Korea Committee has set up an event center for 2016 Korea Sale FESTA at Dongdaemun and it provides foreign tourists with convenient services.

During the festival, it will have ‘Special Theme Weeks’ for foreigners. Special Theme Weeks includes Must-Buy Week (October 1 to October 9), Must-See Week (October 10 to October 16), Must-Do Week (October 17 to October 23) and Must-Eat Week (October 24 to October 31).

Visit Korea Committee also operates ‘K Travel Bus’ with which foreigners can travel around Korea as a part of the ‘2016~2018 Visit Korea Year’ campaign.

It also released ‘K Tour Card’ for foreign individual tourists (FIT). It is now promoting the cards to foreigners visiting Korea and tourists transferring at Incheon airport together with foreign branches of Korea Tourism Organization, overseas branches of airline companies and Incheon International Airport Corporation.

Especially, it provides Hands Free Service to deliver or store luggage for convenient shopping for foreign tourists during the Korea Sale FESTA. With Hands Free Service, foreign visitors can purchase products at major department stores in Seoul and get them at their homes.
