French Police Experts Praise MoI Efforts Regarding Human Rights

ABU DHABI, UAE--(Business Wire / Korea Newswire)--Lieutenant Colonel Jerome Vial, Deputy Director of Regional Security in the Alpes-Maritimes, France, praised the achievements made by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and its various police bodies. He hailed the efforts to maintain human rights, combat human trafficking, support the United Nations' global plan of action against human trafficking, and the organized awareness campaigns regarding the fight against human trafficking. The course was implemented based on the latest international methods for combating cross-border human trafficking.

The ceremony, hosted by the Training Department at the Human Resources Directorate General at the Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) General Headquarters, celebrated the graduation of the specialized course on "Countering Cross-border Human Trafficking”; which was was moderated by Lieutenant Colonel Vial, and Major Jean Luc Lessly, Head of Community Prevention and Protection Units, Regional Security Department in the Alpes-Maritimes, France.

Major Lessly said that the UAE’s MoI is a leader in the areas of combating human trafficking and human rights, with competent and qualified police and security personnel in accordance with the best international standards.

During the graduation event for the “Suspects Interrogation Techniques” course, Majors Christian Whitling and Pierre Oberdyn of the French Police, who supervised the course, said the ADP utilize comparable interrogation techniques with France and apply the highest humane standards.

German Experts: Abu Dhabi Police Achieve Outstanding Development in the field of Traffic

German Traffic experts from the German Ministry of Interior praised the traffic safety levels in Abu Dhabi and the distinguished developments made to reduce traffic accidents. During the graduation ceremony, the experts additionally expressed their admiration for the diligent efforts of the police to boost traffic awareness for road users. The course covered “Strategic Traffic Security: Principles and Procedures”; featured a presentation of models from Baden-Württemberg, Germany; and summarized traffic security in Germany.
