U.S. ambassador to South Korea hosts May 29 business reception in Seoul with Fairfax County, Virginia

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA. & SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA--(Business Wire / Korea Newswire)--The United States Ambassador to South Korea, Sung Y. Kim, will host a May 29 business networking reception at his residence in Seoul with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA, www.fairfaxcountyeda.org).

Executives from Korean companies with U.S. operations, and representatives from companies considering expansion in the U.S., have been invited to the event, which also has been planned by the Seoul office of the U.S. Commercial Service, part of the Department of Commerce.

As part of its international outreach, the FCEDA has maintained an office in Asia since 1997 and a Seoul office (http://goo.gl/go5Hlp) since 2005 to work with Korean companies in technology and other sectors interested in expansion in the U.S. Charles Kim directs the Seoul office.

Ambassador Kim also served in a variety of positions in the East Asia Pacific region including overseas assignments in Seoul, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
