Toshiba: “TB9021FNG”, a low stand-by current regulator for automotive applications
TOKYO--(Business Wire / Korea Newswire)--Toshiba Corporation (http://goo.gl/p8j1Ek, TOKYO:6502) today announced the launch of “TB9021FNG”, a low stand-by current regulator for application in automotive systems with a five-volt microcontroller. Sample shipments will start on February 20, with mass production scheduled to start in July 2014.
Reduction of system power consumption becomes increasingly important as the number of electronic components in cars grows. “TB9021FNG”, fabricated with low power consumption, fine pitch BiCD process, realizes reduction of stand-by current to 25% that of equivalent product[1], down to 30uA (typical). The product also integrates the power output transistor and condenser necessary for the system, contributing to a reduction of external ICs and system simplification.
