AppGyver Announces Integration of appbackr® Xchange API™ to Provide Incentives to Port Apps Based on Quality Score
appbackr Xchange APIs will provide quality scoring of apps to provide incentives for porting to Tizen® and other platforms
PALO ALTO, CALIF--(Business Wire / Korea Newswire)--AppGyver, a leading cross platform technology company which allows developers to create an app once and cross compile it to multiple platforms, today announced that it had completed integration of the appbackr Xchange API. Developers on its platform can now have their apps scored for quality and receive a financial or technical incentive to port their app.
The first set of incentives will be provided for developers to port their apps to the Tizen operating system. Developers will receive their appbackr® appscore™ based on the quality of the app. The appscore, combined with the number of downloads, forms a basis for a financial incentive. Developers receive these incentives directly within AppGyver’s development environment which allows for a seamless process for creating, porting and being paid for great apps.
AppGyver’s cross-development platform makes it easy for web developers to build mobile apps for different mobile operating systems from a single code-base. With the new Tizen support, AppGyver’s rapidly growing community of 13,000+ developers can now port their applications easily to the new Tizen OS.
“We’re thrilled to work with appbackr and Intel to help contribute to Tizen’s early app ecosystem. For our developers, the collaboration means being able to publish their existing apps to the new platform in a matter of minutes,” says Marko Lehtimaki, CEO of AppGyver. “Our integration of appbackr Xchange API means we can provide quick feedback about our developers’ apps even before they’re submitted to the app stores,” stated Lehtimaki.
AppGyver has seen a large opportunity in the app development ecosystem for web developers. Most developers want to be part of the movement that’s quickly outpacing the web. “We see the web developer community as a huge asset to the future of innovation in the mobile app market,” says Lehtimaki.
“Cross platform tools like AppGyver help create innovative ways of helping developers build for the Tizen platform,” said Christopher Croteau, Tizen Association board member and managing director, Software and Services Group at Intel. “appbackr appscore integration helps find engaging apps as they are being developed and match the right incentive to the right app. This is a smart way of ensuring that innovative apps get to exciting new operating systems like Tizen.”
appbackr appscore offers a predictive analytical ranking system which is a core part of identifying and recruiting the best apps to Tizen. “When people write the story about how the best new apps were brought to Tizen, innovative cross platform tools like AppGyver will have played a critical part. With the support of Intel, we are proud to support the democratization of how great apps are sourced using appbackr appscore. Through this quality index, great apps earn financial and technical incentives from appbackr Xchange when they port their apps through AppGyver and other leading cross platform tools,” said Trevor Cornwell, Founder and CEO, appbackr inc.
