KOHI Successfully Concluded ‘Competency Enhancement of Diagnosis And Treatment Of Autistic Spectrum Disorder’ Program With KOICA

CHEONGWON--(Korea Newswire)--Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, KOHI (President; Lee Sangyong) successfully concluded <Competency Enhancement of Diagnosis and Treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorder Program> with KOICA. 12 health professionals, therapists, and psychologists from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University(BSMMU), Bangladesh participated in the course from 7th to 23rd, June in 2012.

The course was designed to focus on treatment and diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Lecturers from Ministry of Health and Welfare, Center GEM, universities and medical school delivered quality lectures to the participants. Participants also visited Seoul Metropolitan Children's Hospital, Miral School, and Our Lady of Mercy Rehabilitation Center to see and learn the programs and projects for Autistic Children in Korea.

Dr. Shohela Akhter, Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, BSMMU said “ The course was organized and packaged very well, and I like the study visit to Miral School the best” She also expressed that she got many ideas to implement to Bangladesh.
