RILO AP Seoul Office, launching 1st overseas Technical Assistance program for India Customs

대전--(Korea Newswire)--WCO RILO AP(World Customs Organization Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for Asia and the Pacific), the first international organization hosted by Korea Customs Service (Commissioner, Joo, Yung-sup) launches the first overseas Technical Assistance mission as the regional intelligence center after the Opening ceremony held on last February 2.

RILO AP is dispatching 3 experts including intelligence analysts to New Delhi, India, an affiliated Member of RILO AP. 20 Indian Customs officials are going to be given an in-depth training on intelligence analysis technique and the utilization of the CEN (Customs Enforcement Network), a database for global customs enforcement information such as seizure data of narcotics smuggling or commercial fraud cases.

This overseas training mission is dubbed “Expert Mission”, one of the RILO AP’s technical assistance programs for the Member administrations, which is planned twice a year. In addition to the training, details for the 2012 National Contact Point Meeting will be discussed, which were tentatively agreed to be held in India under the coordination of RILO AP and India Customs.
