    KOHI successfully concluded ‘Community Healthcare Development for Vietnam’ Program

SEOUL, CHEONGWON--(Korea Newswire)--Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, KOHI(Presidentm, Lee Sangyong) successfully concluded ‘Community Healthcare Development for Vietnam’ which was scheduled from February 12th to March 3rd. 14 health officials and professionals from Vietnamese Ministry of Health participated in the 5th course this year.

Lecturers from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea CDC, and medical schools delivered quality lectures to the trainees. The trainees also visited Cheong Ju Medical Center, Seoul National University Hospital, and Yeongi public health center to see and learn Korea's health systems. The trainees also visited Oeammaul Folk Village, and Samsung LCD Complex in Asan for field trip to see Korean culture and industry.

Dr. Nguyn Xuan Hong, a representative of participant, vice director of Nghe An Health Service, said “I got many ideas from the course and will use them for my province development in Vietnam.” He also added “It is amazing to see that Korea succeeded in developing its economy and improving people's health dramatically, and it would be wonderful if Korea and Vietnam kept good relationship to help my country.”

KOHI will run various programs, including health policy and program management, and maternal and child health promotion to contribute to improvement of the world's health.
