With more than 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Sung Yeol Kwon has been a professor at Pukyong National University since 2002. Prior to obtaining his current position, he was an assistant professor at Andong Science College from 1994 to 1998 and a lecturer with Kyungpook College from 1993 to 1994. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Kwon has served as a consultant in the field for the Korea Strategic Trade Institute, the Korea Meteorological Administration, the National Research Foundation of Korea, the Small and Medium Business Administration, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
A respected leader in the industry, Dr. Sung Yeol Kwon holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Kyungpook National University and completed postdoctoral coursework through the University of Limoges in France. A contributor of articles to professional journals, he has also published several scientific papers in various publications. He is a lifetime member of the Korean Sensors Society, as well as a board member of the Korean Institute of Signal Processing and Systems. Additionally, he maintains affiliation with the Korean Physical Society, the Polymer Society of Korea, and the International Biographical Centre, where he serves as deputy director of the Asian branch.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kwon has been recognized for his contributions. The International Biographical Centre has inducted him into the Order of International Fellowship and gave him the Sir Isaac Newton Legacy of Honor Award, the Cambridge Certificate for Outstanding Engineering Achievement, the International Distinction of Cultural Merit, and the IBC Lifetime Achievement Award. Likewise, he has been named to the Cambridge Order of Esteemed Intellectuals. Dr. Kwon has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the 33rd edition of Who’s Who in the World, published in 2016.
