DAEJEON--(Korea Newswire) January 09, 2014 -- Korean screen golf company RD-Tek Co., Ltd. (CEO Song-hwan Choi, www.thegolf.com) has developed a sports motion analysis system ‘SMAS’ that can be used for various sports and will release it early next year.

Personnel from RD-Tek said, “Along with the advancement of sports science in the 21st century, various equipment and technologies are being used to improve athletic performance. RD-Tek also joined the trend and developed a new product after scientific analysis and research based on the measuring techniques that the company has accumulated.”

Well known for its screen golf brand X-GOLF, RD-Tek newly developed SMAS, a world-class multichannel sensor sports analysis system that can maximize athletic performance. The users can improve the exercise effect by analyzing the movements based on the actual data measured by the SMAS.

In particular, this product can be used not only for golf but also for other sports. As of now, the development for the product that uses the SMAS technology for archery has been completed, and this is attracting the attention of the industry.

At the 2013 Korean Society of Sport Psychology Conference in June, RD-Tek held a demonstration of ‘X-Archery’, which is the very first product that SMAS system is applied. Learned that the system can be applied to sports other than golf such as archery and baseball, the visitors showed their interest in RD-Tek’s technology.

Recently, the company met with world’s best archery equipment maker Win & Win for product presentation and demonstration. In mid-January, it will hold an archery analyzer demonstration to Korean National Archery Team.

“Starting the release of archery analyzer next year, we will expand to other sports, as well. Moreover, we will develop products that will scientifically improve athletic performance to make another bestseller like X-GOLF,” said CEO Choi.
