SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA--(Korea Newswire) May 31, 2013 -- Pandora TV, a global multimedia specialist, will be presenting a two-day exclusive live telecast of “Absolute Tango” performances by Absolute Ensemble, led by Kristian Jarvi of the Jarvi family fame, performing with world renowned bandoneón player, Carel Kraayenh and his Kraayenhof Tango Ensemble.
The dynamic and cutting edge group, Absolute Ensemble was launched in New York by Kristian Javi in 1993 and has been active ever since, creating and performing new exciting projects that have gained press recognition in the USA and Europe. The ensemble tours in between New York City and Europe with the mission of expanding the definition and expression of classical music.
For the exclusive telecast, Pandora TV will deploy seven HD (high definition) cameras during the performances to fully capture the integration of the musical instruments from all angles as well as present the expressions of the performers.
The first performance, to be held on June 1 at Club Ellui in Seoul, will present progressive classic combined with visual effects and a club DJ, making it particularly distinctive. The collaboration at Club Ellui will highlight the works of visual artist Shin Jung-yeop with the media façade art and Soulscape club DJ Park Min-joon and his creative sound-mixing. The June 1 event promises to be a high energy musical performance presented in a new form of club concert culture.
The second performance will take place at 5 p.m. on June 2 at the Hongdae Daehangro Art Center in central Seoul, which opened in December last year. For that concert the music will be central -- as the theme of Absolute Tango comes to the forefront, with new and iconic Tango compositions performed by the ensemble's virtuosic multi-talented musicans and composers.
Both performances include 10 members of Absolute Ensemble with guests from Kraayenhof Tango Ensemble (KTE), including Bert Bos on the violin, Juan Pablo on the piano and Carel Kraayenhof on the bandoneón.
